SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Pixelle Specialty Solutions LLC announced that it has updated its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notices to employees at the Chillicothe Paper Mill in Ohio. The company intends to cease production at the facility by 10th August this year.
The company had announced initial WARN notices in April 2025. Since then, it has been working diligently with the government and all community partners to explore every possible path forward towards sustaining the mill operations. It had initially paused the exact timing of the shutdown. However, the steep decline in customer demand during recent weeks have forced the company to fix August 10, 2025 as the last date of operation of the Chillicothe paper mill.
