We are currently accepting garbage pick up customers in these townships in Hillsdale County- Litchfield, Scipio, Fayette, Allen, Adams, Reading, Jefferson, Cambria, and Hillsdale Townships. As we grow, we will add in more areas. If you are interested in trash service in Hillsdale County and don't live in these areas, give us a call

Our Vision

Our vision at Sterling Disposal Services is to become Hillsdale, Branch, Calhoun, and Jackson Counties' leader in junk removal. We believe the Bible Verses, Luke 6:31 "Do to others as you would have them do to you" and John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." We believe these verses sum up our character. We will always treat our customers with the dignity and respect they deserve. Sometimes junk removal can be an emotional or embarrassing process for a client. We promise to never judge, always listen, and be kind.

Our Green Initiative

Sterling Disposal Services believes in diverting as much reusable and recyclable materials from the landfill as possible. We partner with many donation services and not for profits, and have several causes we support, such as helping recently housed individuals with clean, donation worthy home furnishings. Your junk removal items may become just the thing needed for an individual with limited resources, or become a way to help a non profit offer more services. We will make every effort to clean, repair, repurpose, donate, or recycle items before sending items to the landfill that are too far gone.

Our Story

Sterling Disposal Services was formed in 2024 by Nate and Melissa Dickens, owners of Sterling Patriot Homes, LLC to separate and showcase its junk removal side of the business from the handyman side. Sterling Patriot Homes, LLC was formed in 2020 specializing in handyman services, rental renovation, and junk removal. With a growing junk removal business, it was time for a new name. Sterling Disposal Services was born!

When not working, they enjoy spending time with their three teenage and adult children, tinkering around on their small hobby farm in Hillsdale County, trying to keep their 1840s farmhouse together for another 185 years, being outdoors exploring, kayaking, hunting or fishing, and caring for a small variety of domestic, farm, and exotic animals.
